In the second picture, you can see that, allegedly, a Sams Club employee crossed out Black Lives Matter on the order form. In another , Brandon said, And honestly the crossing out of the statement is really what sent me . My grandma worked soooo hard to make sure everyone felt loved after all the trauma weve seen lately. This is really the slap in the face that we really didnt need today.
After Brandon told a Sams Club manager about what had happened, they gave them a corrected cake, a $100 gift card, and covered their membership costs for two years. In July of 2020, a Sams Club baker allegedly skipped out on one customers cake decorating request altogether. Lets just say, it was not a good look for the Club. A Sams Club customer named Brandon shared a photo of his blank cake on , saying, So I paid full price for a cake, just to be told that @SamsClub refuses to put Black Families Matter on a cake. In the post, the customer also included a photo of the bakerys cake order form revealing that an employee had apparently crossed out the words Black Families Matter from the request. We’re going with a very small cake , which will be just for the two of us. It is done by a local bakery, and we’ve ordered it before for small celebrations. It’s usually & dollar 40, but they have constant Groupons, bringing it down to & dollar 20. I put a picture of it below.
For the guests, we’ll be bringing sheet cakes over the day before from Costco or Sam’s Club. The venue keeps it in their fridge then cuts it in the kitchen before putting single servings out for guests. I will not have any type of display cake, just one for us and pieces for guests. This should cost about & dollar 150 or less.
We have family who are members at each chain, so we’ll need to go with someone to order them. I believe Sam’s does half or full sheet cakes, while Costco only does half size. Is this your experience?
