Dairy Queen established Februarys flavor of the month as Red Velvet, which also marks the limited-time return of Dairy Queens Red Velvet Cake Blizzard. The Blizzard is made up of red velvet cake pieces, cream cheese icing, and vanilla ice cream.
Joining the Red Velvet Cake Blizzard is the Red Velvet Blizzard Cupid Cake, which is sized for two. The cake has a foundational layer of vanilla soft serve, a middle layer of red velvet cake pieces and cream cheese icing, and a top layer consisting of a Red Velvet Cake Blizzard.
These Red Velvet items are available nationwide but wont be on the menu for long. Like so many great loves, these sweet treats are fleeting.

Full disclosure: I dont care much for rocky-road ice cream, so I knew I wasnt going to be wild about this one from the start.
Like rocky-road ice cream, this Blizzard contains all of the essential flavors: chocolate, peanuts, and marshmallow. This dessert has a single marshmallow core in the center of the cup with the ice cream around it and it comes with brownie chunks to offset the strong vanilla flavors.
I can see this being a dream for anyone who loves marshmallows, but I felt that the core overpowered the rest of the Blizzard. At one point, I thought the peanuts were missing, but theyd really just collected at the very bottom of the cup, which made every bite pretty inconsistent.

Add the melted butter and then pulse or smash for a few more seconds until rough cookie crumbs remain.
Pour the cookie crumbs out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread out evenly into a single layer. Bake for about 10 minutes. Remove and let cool completely.Once cool, in a medium mixing bowl, combine the cooled cookie crumbs with the chocolate Magic Shell.
Stir to coat the crumbs evenly and then spread back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet in a thin layer. Freeze for 30 minutes and then crumble into small, coarse pieces. Keep refrigerated until ready to use.
