Making Cookies Using Betty Crocker Cake Mix
I love baking but if I can make a delicious dessert, fast, and with easy clean up, how can I resist?
The air fryer can bake almost a dozen at a time. And it’s a good thing they cook so quickly, because just as fast as the air fryer makes them, they are gobbled up by the kids!
I love making air fryer desserts like this, because I get to be the best mom in the world for making fresh cookies, but the air fryer clean up is a snap!
Storing Your Leftover Cake Mix Cookie Bars
The bars stay soft and chewy even after they cool.
Just make sure to cover or store in an airtight container!
For example, I store mine either in a ziploc bag or a closable container with a lid.
The thickness of the bars will depend on how large of a baking dish you use.
I prefer them to be thick and chewy, but you might like them thinner.
If so, just use a bigger baking dish and adjust cook time as necessary!
I mean seriouslyhow can you resist that gooey chocolate chip cookie bar staring you in the face ?!

Can I use store-bought cookie dough to make a chocolate chip cookie cake?
You can! Look for a tube or packet of chocolate chip cookie dough that makes around 16 cookies . Follow the instructions in my recipe to press the cookie dough into the skillet or cake pan of your choice and bake accordingly.
Can I use this cookie dough to make cookies instead?
Yep! Though Im not sure why you would, especially when I have many chocolate chip cookie recipes already available . But if you insist, use a 3-tablespoon cookie dough scoop to portion the dough into cookies. Youll end up with around 16 cookie dough balls. Line two half sheet pans with parchment paper. Place the cookie dough balls at least 3 inches apart on the prepared sheet pans. Bake one pan at a time at 350 for 10 minutes. The cookies will look puffed when you pull them out of the oven, but will fall and crack into the perfect cookies as they cool.
How long to bake a chocolate chip cookie cake?
Most chocolate chip cookie cake recipes are baked for between 20 to 25 minutes. In general, its better to pull out the cookie cake when the center is still gooey but the edges have set. If you wait until the center is fully set, its likely that your cookie cake will be too crispy and hard. Why? The residual heat from the pan will continue to bake the cookie cake even after its pulled out of the oven. Test for doneness by sticking a toothpick in the center of the cookie cakeif it comes out with few crumbs, its perfect!

ORRRRR use a Spice Cake Mix and add in candied ginger and slivered almondsBOOMHoliday Biscotti!
There are so many possibilities with this biscotti recipe, but lets start at the beginning.
Just grab a cake mix flavor of your choice. Add in one stick of melted butter, 3 eggs, an extra cup of flour and a little vanilla extract. Thats your base.
I stirred in some mini chocolate chips and pecans to add a little something special.
Then divide the dough into two equal parts and form them into logs.
Bake the dough for 30 minutes and then let them cool for 15 minutes.
THEN slice them into biscotti pieces!
Carefully place each slice back on your baking sheet, lower the oven temp a little and then bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Flip them over once during the second bake to get them golden on each side, and then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely!

Tips For Spreading The Batter
Keep in mind when you make the batter, it will be very thick. My preferred way to distribute the batter evenly is by using a rubber spatula.
It will take you a few minutes to press it down into the pan, but the rubber spatula is a lot easier to use for this than other kitchen tools I have tried. If you dont have a rubber spatula, you can try greasing your hands to help press the batter down.

Faq: Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake Recipe Results
How big is this giant chocolate chip cookie cake?
Truth be told, most supermarket chocolate chip cookie cakes clock in at larger sizes and are usually between 12 to 18 inches wide or at least they were in Texas, where I grew up .
However, my recipe makes a chocolate chip cookie cake that is smaller than that. My chocolate chip cookie cake is around 10 inches wide, and 1 inch thick. Why? Most folks dont have a 12-inch+ cake pan in their home kitchen. But a lot of folks have a 10-inch or 12-inch cast iron skillet. As a result, I decided to develop a recipe for that pan.
That being said, if you are the proud owner of a 12 inches+ cake pan, feel free to bake this chocolate chip cookie cake recipe in it! You may need to shorten the Bake Time. Because the cake pan is bigger, the dough will spread more thinly across the pan and require a shorter Bake Time.
Help! My chocolate chip cookie cake tasted super salty. What did I do wrong?
Heres the thing: although I instruct you to use salted butter for the cookie dough in this recipe, its always a little bit risky to do so. Why? Different brands add varying levels of salt to their salted butter. That means that the flavor of your dessert will vary widely depending on whatever brand of salted butter you happened to use. And if you found this chocolate chip cookie cake too salty, its likely because you used an extra salty type of salted butter.
