On a recent visit to the Maple Lake store with a friend,…I purchased my first red velvet cake that looked wonderful! When I got home, I had dinner with my family and hoped to enjoy the red velvet cake for dessert. I unboxed it, unwrapped part of it to slice it, and helped myself to a good-sized piece of cake. The frosting was smooth and creamy – very sweet. The cake was dense, consistent, and looked delicious. However, when I began eating it, I was surprised it didn’t have flavor – none. The texture was smooth and the frosting was sweet – but the cake – a big disappointment. I will not buy another one from Nothing Bundt Cakes.More
Watery syrupy bottom of the cake,, all three flavors. No fresh taste here, old, made days before and sitting in the fridge in an attempt to keep freshness. Nothing fresh baked about this… commercial, commercial. Terrifically disappointed…since when does red velvet cake have chocolate chips?…Pasty cream cheese frosting, gritty. No ingredient labels or weights on packaging. We were hoping to find some new digs for desserts but this wasn’t the place.More
