Real Strawberries: Of course well be using real strawberries. I used frozen, because frankly theyre easy to find and easy to handle. Youll just defrost them overnight in the fridge before you puree them.

Bundt Bakers is back everyone and this month Im proud to announce, Im hosting this delightful group as we bake together on this final month of summerwell, maybe not officially but by next month the school season will be in full swing and well be talking about pumpkin spice and prepping for the holidays. Nevertheless, its a great honor to be hosting BB for the very first time, and the theme for this month is*drumroll please*Strawberries!

It seems fitting to close out the summer with these little gems and since strawberry cake is one of my favorites, I had a clear direction for where I wanted to take our little baking group this month.

So, without further adieu, lets dive into the recipe which is surprisingly easy and oh so delicious. Dont forget to check out all the other yummy bundts below!

For this recipe, I was torn between adding fresh berries to the batter, worried that it might make the cakes a little tart. So in its place, I added strawberry jam to the batter and left the fresh slices for layering afterward.

Furthermore, I used pastry flour rather than all-purpose and I think it made a huge difference in the consistency of the cakes themselves. They are ultra light and moist.

Farm Life And Yogurt Cake

This Strawberry Cake is inspired by farm-fresh, hand-picked strawberries. Every time I take the kids berry picking, I think to myself, I could totally do this. I could farm Its hard work, but peaceful and gratifying.

Then I imagine buying a large piece of land and reinventing our life. I envision myself in overalls and work boots, driving a tractor. That thought always makes me chuckle!

Of course, I know nothing of farming. Ive never even had my own garden!

This year is the first year we are going to give it a whirl, that is, be involved in a communal garden. Im hoping to learn a thing or two. Ill let you know how it goes.

I still like to pretend, as were picking berries, that I somehow had a part in cultivating them. I also like to believe that Im honoring the berries by putting them in such lovely treats!

From decadent Cream Cheese Pound Cakes to seasonal sensations like Pumpkin Pound Cake, Ive made them all but this year, for Easter and the spring season, I wanted to create something new and fresh. Springs flavors are light, fruity and crisp basically everything that I love in a dessert. Glorious strawberries are now in season, meaning their flavors are stronger and tastier than ever. Each one is beautifully red in color, sweet in flavor and wonderfully textured. Above all, strawberries, especially ALDI fresh berries, are my absolute favorite they are the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. I couldnt imagine a more perfect addition to my pound cake.
