Halo Top Ice Cream Mint Chip Chocolate Mocha Chip & Birthday Cake Overview
Anyone with a massive sweet tooth thats tried going ketogenic or just on a diet in general knows the sugar craving struggle. While I wasnt totally satisfied with the 3 flavors I picked out, they were still very edible and very much curbed my cravings. They are really good alternatives to traditional ice cream. Going in though, you have to keep in mind they are not the same as traditional ice cream, and because of that they will have different flavorings and textures. You really have to go in with an open mind.
However, with my sugar cravings something is better than nothing. This helped tremendously even if the flavors werent fully suited for me personally.

Halo Top Ice Cream does feature 17 flavors, so I still have more to try and I fully intend on doing so until I find the perfect flavors for me.

We Tried All 7 Flavors Of Halo Top Low
Holy sweetness, you guys. We finally got to try Halo Top ice cream the protein-rich, low-sugar, low-carb, low-fat frozen goodness that we’ve had our eye on for months and it didn’t disappoint.
A quick nutritional breakdown of Halo Top flavors: an entire pint has between 240 and 280 calories, depending on the flavor, with each flavor offering 24 grams of protein per pint. By comparison, a pint of vanilla Haagen Dazs ice cream has 1,000 calories same with Ben & Jerry’s.
In each serving of Halo Top, you’ll get 6 grams of protein per serving, 20 percent of your daily fiber intake, and only 4 or 5 grams of sugar. In Haagen Dazs or Ben & Jerry’s, you’ll get 4 grams of protein, zero fiber, and about 20 grams of sugar.
We’ve tried healthy ice creams before, and to be perfectly honest, sometimes they just don’t live up to the real thing you’re left unsatisfied and a little annoyed you didn’t just let yourself have a scoop of regular ice cream. NOT the case with Halo Top, which for all intents and purposes, is just like regular ice cream. Here’s how we know . . .

Halo Top Ice Cream Mint Chip
Halo Top Ice Cream Mint Chip is a popular flavor. When Halo Top was discussed, I seemed to hear Mint Chip coming up a lot as one people should grab. So I grabbed it.
I have to say, Im not really a fan of it. I dont hate it, but something about it just wasnt for me. The mint flavor was definitely there. As soon as I took a bite I was hit with a pepperminty taste, but I didnt taste a lot of chocolate. I wanted that chocolate/mint balance with this and just simply didnt get it.
Dont get me wrong, in a desperate moment of cravings, I would eat Mint Chip. I didnt hate it. I just didnt love it.

- At Ralphs Halo Top Pops is $4.99. I had a digital coupon $1.50, a RCB $1.50 and an IB $1.50. Sadly, none of my Ralphs within a 10 mile radius carry the Halo Top Pops. This Halo Top Pie Will Make You Wish Every Day Was Your Birthday
Halo Top ice cream might be my new favorite thing. It’s low in calories but not low on flavor. I can honestly eat an entire pint and not feel bad about it, so when Halo Top shared this recipe for a birthday pie using the Birthday Cake flavor, I suddenly wished it was my birthday so I’d have an excuse to make it. I didn’t let something like a silly calendar keep me from whipping this supereasy recipe together, though, and you shouldn’t either. It only requires a few ingredients, and you can eat a slice without wanting to fall asleep, a feeling that a huge honkin’ piece of chocolate cake might bring.

Halo Top Ice Cream Chocolate Mocha Chip
My third and final taste testing of Halo Top Ice Cream brings us to Chocolate Mocha Chip. I thought this would be a home run. Two of my favorites in one spot: Chocolate and Mocha.
I will say of the 3, this is one I would buy again BUT I would like to try other flavors first. I got a little sweetness and chocolate flavor, but the coffee flavoring leaned more on the bitter side. It wasnt super bitter, but it left that bitter coffee aftertaste for me which wasnt all that pleasant. I had a real cup of coffee with me while eating this, and I would drink it just to counteract the bitterness.

Halo Top Ice Cream Birthday Cake
Birthday Cake was one I was back and forth on. Do I want this or a more fruity one like Lemon Cake? Well I went with Birthday Cake.
Birthday Cake tastes a lot like yellow cake batter with super sweet frosting. Super sweet. You basically have to REALLY love sweet cake and frosting to love Birthday Cake by Halo Top, and lucky for me I love sweet frosting.
My only issue is the sprinkles, you can really taste them and if you get too many sprinkles in a bite, its not the most pleasant. So as long as you watch your sprinkle distribution and love super sweet cake this could be for you.
