Almond flour is the key ingredient to making a moist sugar-free birthday cake dont swap almond flour for coconut flour or any almond ground or almond meal.
Coconut flour contains four times more fiber and can dry out cakes if you dont adjust its ratio or add more eggs or liquid.
Use a coconut flour cake recipe if its the flour you want to use but dont swap almond flour for the same amount of coconut flour.
Also always measure flour with a US measuring cup, fill and sweep but dont over pack flour in the cup or press it down.

Sometimes just having a couple of FANTASTIC goodies is all you need. Quality over quantity, am I right? I caught this company when they were super up and coming last year so Im thrilled to share them again after testing out their latest mixes and even took note of their gorgeous new packaging.
Theyre located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and have their baked goods in various Ohio locations. Lucky for the rest of us out-of-towners, theyre now available for national shipping too! Their chocolate chip cookies and brownies came out spectacular and it was an extra special treat to enjoy them while still warm. Both their brownie and chocolate chip cookie mixes are gluten-free, low-carb, sugar-free, & grain-free.
I first tried their brownie mix, which can even be prepared dairy-free, so I was ecstatic about that! They were easy to whip up & I LOVED their rich texture! Again, I felt like I was cheating on keto! Plus, you just cant beat fresh, warm gooey brownies right out of the oven, so theres that!
Next up was their chocolate chip cookie baking mix. I wasnt sure these could possibly get any better than their brownies, but holy keto these babies blew everything out of the water! Id even go as far as to say theyre the best keto cookies Ive ever had!

With that being said, in order to make a sugar free chocolate cake you’ll need to use some alternative ingredients.
And all that means is that you’ll be using low carb ingredients to replace the higher carb ones to make this a low carb chocolate cake.
So, all that means you’ll be swapping out “regular” flour for blanched almond flour, and sugar forConfectioners Swerve.
If you’ve never heard of Swerve, it’s basically a sugar replacement that has 0 NET CARBS and 0 CALORIES.
That makes it an ideal sugar free substitute for people following a low carb diet like keto. And especially important to make this a sugar free chocolate cake.
It’s also important to mention that Swerve is as sweet as sugar.
Other sugar free substitutes are often sweeter than sugar.
For instance, stevia in it’s purest form is 300 times sweeter than sugar. So, it’s not an ideal replacement for Swerve.
