So, I broke my old Wilton turntable – the Trim-n-Turn Turntable. I had a coupon for 50% off at Joann’s and they had one of the Wilton Tilt-n-Turn Ultra turntables. I was wondering what you all thought of it? I haven’t used it yet, but I have a 3D cake in a week when I”ll get to try it out. One of the bigger reasons i bought it is because a wedding cake order I have this summer is for a tiered cake that is decorated all in piped writing in various “poetic” phrases. I thought this might make the piping/writing job a lot easier. Any thoughts would be helpful!
Oh, no! I truly don’t want to see one of my cakes on the table, or worse yet, the floor! Well, I’ll give it a shot and see. I needed a turntable anyways, so if the tilt function isn’t the greatest I can still use the turntable itself.

Does it lock in place like the trim and turn? I’m thinking someone told me it didn’t but I could be thinking about another one! What class did you take at the Wilton School? I am registered for the Masters Class in June….driving up from NC and staying w/ a friend that lives up there….very excited!!
I have the old Wilton tilting turntable and I hate it–unstable, jerky, etc.I LOVE the new Wilton Ultimate tilting turntable, Moves very smoothly, tilts easily and at pretty much any angle you need. I love using when I do very fine stringwork!Rae
