In terms of nutrition, Quest Protein Bars are pretty consistent across the board. From the bars in this review, there was a variance between 170-210 calories. For fat, all of the bars ranged between 4.5 grams 10 grams, and for carbohydrates 20 grams 22 grams. The protein was pretty consistent across the board with 20 grams 21 grams. In respect to fiber theres roughly 12 grams 16 grams, and for sugar 1 gram 3 grams.

The cons that come along with Quest Protein Bars can be a bit subjective, but one thing I noticed is they can upset your stomach at times. For some, the higher fiber and sugar alcohol content may cause a little stomach discomfort, but thats going to come down to personal preference.

In addition, like most protein bars they can be a tas expensive at times. If you live in a more urban area, then you may be asked to pay $4.00 for one bar, which is pretty expensive in my opinion.

Do They Actually Taste Good

This really depends on who you ask. The hard-core fans will shamelessly defend the Quest company in the name of protein.

Other people argue that the bars taste like cardboard and are too chewy. With questionable ingredients , it’s understandable why whole food advocates choose to boycott Quest Bars.

In my opinion, I like them every once in a while. They are great to snack on between classes and labs or to take on trips. Some flavours do taste significantly better than others. Some of my favs include Cinnamon Roll, Mocha Chip, Chocolate Chip and Double Chocolate. Flavours like Cashew Coconut and PB & J the world could do without.

If pumpkin spice is the seasonal signifier of the basic b, then birthday cake is the quintessential staple of the basics day to day favorite flavor. My tastebuds tendencies keep me right in line with all the basic ladies of the world, and just like I love me some spice I love me a good birthday cake flavored treat. Ice cream, candy, lotion, candles, and yep, protein bars. While this trend is far from new, in fact I think it peaked a couple years ago, the biggest player in the protein bar game are extremely late to the party. This week Quest showed up when everyone was already wasted and stumbling with their Birthday Cake coated protein bar.

This bar is a bit of a deviation for the company, using a coated outer layer similar to Oh Yeahs One bars instead of the usual plain outer skin. It certainly looks pretty enough, studded with a smattering of fun confetti dots and a semi-glossy coating that is incredibly soft and smooth.

Quest Protein Bar Flavor Review

Birthday Cake: 8.8/10

Im a big birthday cake fan, so when Quest announced and dropped this bar last year I was super pumped. The taste reminded me of something youd get from a birthday cake flavored ice cream. Each bar was decently sweet and fulfilled the birthday cake asks very well, but did have a slight synthetic-esque taste, yet it wasnt off putting. As a bonus, the texture of this bar has sprinkles and a nice frosting that breaks apart with each bite.

Blueberry Muffin: 9/10

The blueberry muffin flavor was interesting, and in a flavor-filled way. These bars offer the promise of real bits from blueberry muffins, which is clearly evident throughout each bar as you bite down on blueberries and little muffin crisps. Every bite was loaded with a blueberry muffin focused flavor, which was great since blueberry pastries are often a tough flavor to tackle.

Rocky Road: 9.3/10

Rocky road was potentially my favorite flavor of all the Quest Protein Bars we reviewed. This bar was the perfect mix of chunky marshmallow and chocolate goodness, along with a texture that made me feel like I was indulging in a candy bar. This bar did a very good job at not giving off an oily feeling to it, which made the texture all that much better.

Birthday Cake Flavored Coated Protein Bar. Quest has been one of the most known companies on the protein bar market, but are late to the game on a Birthday Cake flavored bar. Quest has only coated their pumpkin bar in the past which was easily their worst flavor ever created, but this one was much better. The coating is basically a vanilla glaze similar to what you would find in the vanilla caramel hero bar. The coating congeals together with the birthday cake flavored bar. The bar itself tastes very artificial, and has no resemblance of a vanilla cake flavor . Quest bars are on the harder side out of the wrapper compared to a one bar, fit elite, or fitjoy bar. Overall the One bar is still king, but then again most of them taste identical with such a small variance.

The best way to describe PB & J is that it is another experiment by Quest. They have tried to produced something that retains the nutty taste of peanut butter, the slight taste of salt and butter in it by giving it a treat of jelly. Now, not everybody is a fan of jelly. For those who dont like jelly, it might be best to try another flavour. But if you like both jelly and peanut butter, its for you. Keep these in the refrigerator for a few hours and then try them youll have the most delicious peanut butter and jelly combination ever.

Well, it’s gone and happened,Quest Nutrition has finally released a birthday cake flavor! Have you tried it yet? I’m down for birthday cake flavored anything and Quest Bars are among my top 3 favorite brands of nutrition bars, so needless to say I couldn’t wait to give them a try.

If you’re a fitness enthusiast or if you consume protein bars with any regularity, you likely have come across a Quest Bar. They have a fiercely loyal fan base, and for good reason… they’re pretty darn awesome, with a stellar macronutrient profile and minimal list of ingredients. I am obsessed with these bars and usually use them as a meal replacement – all of that protein and fiber keeps me completely satiated and, thankfully, without any digestional troubles.

Quest Protein Bar Pros

In my opinion, there are a couple pros that come along with Quest Protein Bars. First, they have a decent macro profile and minimal sugar. If youre on-the-go and need a snack that covers 20 grams of protein and keeps your sugar low, then Quest can be a good option. Also, they have a higher fiber content, which can be beneficial for satiation.

Second, I thought the bars tasted pretty good from an overall point of view. Each bar has a solid texture to it and additional bits of flavor, so texture lovers will like these protein bars. The bars do a pretty good job at getting their desired tastes across, granted, some did fall a bit short.

Third, they travel well and are readily available in multiple locations. One thing Quest does well is make their bars available in multiple locations, so if youre out-and-about, then theres a good chance you can find your favorite bar at a quick pit stop.

The latest Quest bar has been one of the most eagerly anticipated of all time and its easy to see why. The combination of brownies and peanut butter, in a bar that is healthy for you and packed full of protein?! Who knew that could be possible. Who would pass up the opportunity to gorge guilt-free on the contrasting tastes and textures of bitter-sweet chocolate, chewy brownies and delectable peanut butter? The only way you dont like this bar is if you are arent a fan of peanut butter? But we are pretty sure everyone is a fan of peanut butter, unless you are allergic to peanuts. The Peanut Butter Brownie smash quest bar has finally been unveiled, and it is definitely one of the flavours that we will continue to buy . Its half chocolate chip cookie, half chunky brownie, but all mashed together! To make it a 10/10 for us, we microwaved it for two seconds to increase the gooey goodness of the bar!

In all of the bars, I really enjoyed the texture they tried to provide. Since these bars are lower in sugar content, then I feel like texture can play a large role in providing you with the impression youre eating a sweet treat. Granted, some of the flavors have limited chunks in them, but none of the bars come with none, so if youre not a texture fan, then you may have some issues.
