Nothing Bundt Cakes: Lemon & Red Velvet Review – Lexington, KY

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bakery chain Nothing Bundt Cakes is offering customers a short, but sweet deal on Tuesday.

To celebrate the opening of its 300th bakery, stores across the country will be giving away up to 300 confetti bundtlets.

But there’s a catch. The deal begins at 3 p.m. local time and only lasts for 300 seconds, which means customers have only five minutes to take advantage of the deal.

There’s a limit of one cake per customer.

The company says no special code or coupon is needed to receive the offer.

The address for the Louisville location is 4505 Shelbyville Road.

Pam Teller opened her first Nothing Bundt Cake bakery when she decided she needed to find joy in her life again, after the death of her husband.

On April 29, she officially opened the bakery in Houston Commons in Florence.

Pam Teller

When my husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, we spent two years being sad and scared. He lost his battle on Christmas Day 2014 and I didnt want to spend the rest of my life sad and without joy. The search began for a career that could bring joy, celebrate life and make people happy, recalls Pam Teller, owner of the new Nothing Bundt Cakes in Florence.

My daughter, sister and I decided we would choose to celebrate life again by opening a Nothing Bundt Cakes to minister to our hurting hearts through spreading joy to others.

As Tellers third bakery opens, she is on her path to realizing a dream she holds of opening one bakery for each of her six grandchildren.

She has two others in mid-Tennessee, outside Nashville in Hendersonville and Mount Juliet. Her sister, Kim Appel, will operate the store. The sisters are from Cincinnati but have been living in Tennessee. Teller will make regular trips to the store to support her sister.

I want to provide this legacy for them and bring them into this place where life is celebrated every day. This is an environment of joy, smiles and happiness and I cant wait to share it with the Florence community, Teller said.

Teller is planning a Grand Opening later this month:

Nothing Bundt Cakes Flavors Ranked Worst To Best

Bundt cakes refer to cakes that have been baked in a special donut-shaped pan. The pans often have unique patterns within the round shape and can create everything from simple circles to beautiful terraced creations. This type of cake has its origins in Europe, where it was likely inspired by the Gugelhupf cake of Central Europe .

While the Gugelhupf is a yeast-based cake often cooked with raisins, bundt cakes in the United States are not linked to any particular recipe. They rose to popularity in the U.S. in the 1960s and have remained a popular cake for parties and formal gatherings.

Nothing Bundt Cakes was founded in 1997 by Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz, two women who were known among friends for their delicious bundt cakes. They now have locations all over the country and continue to be a fast-growing franchise. Their cakes are known for being flavorful, moist, and delicious. However, not every flavor can be a winner. Here are all the Nothing Bundt Cakes flavors ranked from worst to best.

Nothing Bundt Cakes Will Bring Smiles To Florence This Spring

FLORENCE, Ky. When Pam Teller lost her husband to cancer in 2014, she decided she needed a career change. She wanted to open a business that brought about happiness and joy. Not only for others, she said, but also for herself.

She found that in Nothing Bundt Cakes, the franchise known for its nostalgic-yet-modern bundt cake. This spring, she’ll open the chain’s first location in Northern Kentucky and the third in Greater Cincinnati, joining Oakley and Mason. Teller, who previously sold real estate, operates two other stores in mid-Tennessee.

“When my husband passed away, he was 58 and I was 55. It just wasn’t what we had planned for our future,” she said. “So I literally started Googling ‘careers that make people happy,’ or, ‘jobs where people spread joy.’ I found that it was usually something surrounded by food. When I saw Nothing Bundt Cakes, even just the title of the company made me smile. It’s a place where people celebrate occasions. We celebrate birthdays, we celebrate weddings. People who come into the bakery are almost always in happy spirits.”

Each bakery is more grab-and-go than sit down. Customers can either order in advance or make their selection in store.

“We have very high brand standards,” Teller said. “We bake from scratch every day, we frost it . We dont bring anything from outside thats already been prepared.”

The bakery will employ about 16 people. She’s hoping to be up and running by late March or early April.
