The approach appears to be working well. Nothing Bundt Cake’s grand opening on Saturday attracted a crowd of people hoping to be one of the store’s first 50 customers, who received a certificate for a free bundtlet a miniature bundt cake every month for a year.

“We had people lined up at 8:30 in the morning waiting for those cards,” Linda said.

The Allendorphs are the first people to open a Nothing Bundt Cakes location in Indiana, although one is also coming soon to Fishers. The couple, originally from West Lafayette, learned about the franchise when they were living in Naperville, Illinois, and a store opened near their home.

They became fans of the specialty bundt cakes, so they decided to launch their own Nothing Bundt Cakes after they moved back to West Lafayette a few years ago. The corporate store gave them the OK last year, and the rest is history.

First time trying a Bundt cake, and first time at this place!Great customer service. They have delivery and curbside pickup available. All the employees were masked and you have to have some kind of face covering to enter. Much appreciated!I tried the …chocolate chip cake with cream cheese frosting . It was moist and the right amount of chocolatey goodness. I would definitely go back to try some of their other flavours .More

Beware that if youre buying cakes for a childrens event that Nothing Bundt wont give you a list of ingredients. This might be troublesome for some organizations that want to know what kids in their charge are being fed….In my case I got a refund after some heated discussion, but beware. I dont think its the local franchise owners fault, but its a policy of the national company. Seems a silly policy to me though. The local owners could learn something about customer service though and train their younger employees likewise. To be handed your receipt back and told thats the way it is is never a good practice.More
