This is my go-to place when I don’t have time to make a cake for a friend’s birthday or I mess up lol. Staff is nice, cakes consistently taste the same. The bundtini’s are the perfect size IMO if you’re able to stop at one haha. I like how they change up their selection with the season. Overall a great store.

Nothing Bundt Cakes might be a bakery franchise started over a decade ago by two women in Las Vegas, but Minnesotans have always had an in: every one of their cakes, produced in more than 200 franchises nationwide, is baked in a Bundt pan, originally designed in the 1950s and still produced by Nordic Ware in St. Louis Park. Today, Nothing Bundt Cakes uses many of the original shapes, from 8-inch and 10-inch delights to the approximately 4-inch-diameter Bundtlets to the miniature Bundtinis sold by the dozen. Common to all is a hole in the middle. Maple Bundt Cake With Maple Cinnamon Glaze

Maple syrup isn’t just for pancakes and this decadent bundt proves it. Made with maple syrup in the batter and frosted with maple syrup too, this is the perfect recipe to use one of fall’s best ingredients.

3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
2 cups Gold Medal all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup real maple syrup
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup real maple syrup


  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 12-cup bundt cake pan with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, beat softened butter and brown sugar with electric mixer on medium speed about 2 minutes or until pale and creamy.
  • In medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. In separate bowl, beat maple syrup, milk, eggs and vanilla with whisk. Add flour mixture to butter mixture in 3 additions, alternating with egg mixture. Pour batter into pan, spreading evenly with spatula.
  • Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until edges are golden and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes in pan transfer to cooling rack to cool completely, about 1 hour.
  • In small bowl, beat Glaze ingredients with whisk until smooth. Add more powdered sugar or maple syrup if necessary for desired consistency. Spoon glaze over cooled cake, letting it drip down sides. Let glaze set at least 15 minutes before serving.

WEST FARGO Customers were lined up around the corner of Nothing Bundt Cakes when owners Rinda Norberg and Jenna Polich arrived an hour prior to the grand opening celebration that started at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2.

“The first 50 people got free cake, and there was a line halfway around the building,” Norberg said.

“I pulled up and was like, ‘Oh boy, here we go,'” Polich added. “There were people in chairs and music playing.”

Doris Callahan of Fargo was not among the crowd, but she was at the store at 816 24th Ave. E. near Costco when a Forum reporter stopped by Tuesday, June 4.

Before attending training in Dallas, Norberg said her favorite flavor was lemon and Polich liked carrot. They were surprised at their favorite after trying them all.

“We tried the gluten-free and it was actually our favorite. It’s a chocolate chip cookie and it tastes just like it,” Norberg said.

The West Fargo store is the first for North Dakota and the 340th for Nothing Bundt Cakes.
