The Chunky Monkey Loaf Didn’t Taste Like Banana Bread As I Expected
Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey flavor has banana ice cream plus chunks of chocolate and walnuts, so I thought it would make a sweet loaf similar to banana bread.
I used my stand mixer for this batter, which was much easier and faster than trying to mix it by hand. This bread took the longest to bake about an hour and 10 minutes.
Still, it looked great, with crisp edges and a soft, dense interior.
Although it didn’t taste like banana bread, it was probably my favorite loaf of the bunch.
I loved the crunch from the walnuts, and the thick pieces of chocolate throughout wonderfully paired with the fruit’s flavor. This option would be great topped with vanilla ice cream and fresh banana slices.
I’d still prefer to just eat a Chunky Monkey pint of ice cream, but this bread was pretty good.

So, Clayton, what have you learned from this experience?
Clayton: It’s a lot harder to eat 10 flavors of ice cream than I thought. I guess my palate is more geared towards overly sugary, rich, decadent flavors than lightly sweet, structured ones.
Lucien: So, you learned that your palate is wrong.
Clayton: Also, the most popular flavors aren’t always the best ones.
Lucien: Well that I wholeheartedly agree with.
Though my favorite is the quintessential Ben & Jerry’s flavor, so who am I to judge? Cherry and chocolate is an ideal combination.
And I’m glad we concur that The Tonight Dough is the worst of the bunch.
Clayton: Americone Dream is the best. The caramel swirl and the chocolate-covered waffle cones make it somehow reminiscent of getting ice cream from a shop. It’s the whole experience.
Phish Food is my second choice since it’s decadent and s’mores-y. I feel like the best out-there Ben & Jerry’s flavors capture the essence of wholesome Americana backyard desserts they feel nostalgic, even if you didn’t grow up eating them.
Overall, I feel like people know Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for being fun and inventive. Just like us, pal.

Last week this image went viral, not only on FB wedding groups but also all over the media. The news and even come blog took on to see if it was a real Ben & Jerrys products. Unfortunately, it was only a photoshopped image by the famous IG photoshopper . It just so happens last week I also started my own little hidden gem of an IG specifically to share my illustrations & graphic artwork . Well, being a bride who has had to postpone her wedding I fell in love with the humor behind edit to this classic Ben & Jerrys product. I wished so much it was real, I even tweeted Ben & Jerrys begging them to make it! But at the same time, I couldnt stop seeing this image.. The good points of the ice cream were that I could really taste the cream cheese in the frosting swirl and there were plenty of little bits of cake pieces.
The core very much reminded me of gooey brownie batter, both in taste and texture . The chocolate and vanilla ice creams are standard Ben & Jerry’s bases, and the brownie pieces are OK, but the star is the core.

These Breads Were A Fun Change Of Pace But I’d Rather Just Eat The Ice Cream From The Pint
With just two ingredients, this ice-cream bread is a unique treat that’s easy to make.
Although some of the loaves were tasty, they weren’t nearly as good as just enjoying a bowl of ice cream on its own.
Still, I’d love to try the vanilla and Chunky Monkey options again to turn them into French toast or bread pudding.
