How Many Bundtinis Does A Person Have

Nothing Bundt Cakes Snickerdoodle Flavor Red Velvet Pumpkin Spice Review!

Because Bundtinis are single servings, youll need quite a few. We suggest 1.5 to 2 Bundtinis per person if it will be the only dessert. If the couple is serving other goodies, we suggest a 1:1 ratio. It can be quite beautiful to have a two-tiered bundt cake with an array of Bundtinis surrounding it.

Mini Red Velvet Bundt Cakes With Cream Cheese Frosting

These mini red velvet bundt cakes are moist, decadent, and tangy with traditional cream cheese frosting! Perfect for your Valentines Day.

You guys, I feel like a very accomplished food blogger today. I am posting Valentines day recipe a whole month in advance of the actual day!!! Woot woot!! I didnt even start my Christmas baking that early. But I am very excited about all the cuteness that revolves around Valentines day and the new mini bundt pans I got for Christmas, that I couldnt wait to start with these mini red velvet bundt cakes with cream cheese frosting. And of course, this gives you time to think about what you would like to make for your Valentine! I have a few more ideas coming up!

Red velvet cake and I have a special bond. In fact this particular red velvet cake recipe. It was the first recipe I EVER baked in a lame attempt to be romantic a month after the boy gave me the big diamond ring. I cant say it landed me the man but it sure guaranteed he wasnt going anywhere

These mini red velvet bundt cakes are perfect for Valentines Day! I started with my FAVORITE red velvet cake recipe, baked in mini bundt cake pans and topped them with a traditional cream cheese frosting!

The red velvet cake is soft, fluffy, and not too sweet. Just right! And the cake is nicely complemented with the sweet tangy cream cheese frosting. Absolute perfection if I can say so myself!!

Sift the dry ingredients together.

Divide your batter into the prepared pans.

How To Prevent Your Bundt Cakes From Sticking

Ive had so much trouble with this intricate bundt cake pan, especially with really moist and sweet cakes. But through some trial and error, Ive found a few solutions that give me the perfect release every time.

Option 1: Right before youre about to pour the batter into the pan, prep it with a nonstick oil and flour spray. My favorite is Bakers Joy. But the key here is to spray in short strokes, careful not to let the oil pool in the bottom of the pan. Once you have a light coating, use a fine pastry brush to brush the oil all around the pan, getting every nook and cranny. Then pour in the batter and bake.

When its fresh from the oven, set a timer for 10 minutes. This time is the sweet spot because it allows the cake to cool just enough to where it wont fall apart, but its also when the sugars are still fluid and liquid. If you let the cake cool too long, those sugars will harden and your cake will stick to the pan. But after those 10 minutes, the cake should pop right out.

Option 2: Again, prep the pan right before you pour in the batter. But this time, generously grease the pan with oat and then coat it in granulated sugar. The sugar acts as a barrier between the cake and the pan, and it also adds a sweet little crunch to the outside of the cake.

Once baked, let your cake cool for that 10 minute sweet spot. The key is to turn it out while its still a little warm. Otherwise, if you let it cool completely, the sugar will harden and then your cake is really stuck.

The Best Food Coloring To Use In Red Velvet Cake

To get that signature red velvet color, 2 tablespoons of red food dye are added to the batter. For red velvet cakes, I choose to use a liquid red food dye that you can find in just about any grocery store. It easily blends into the batter without creating an overly vibrant red color.

I would stay away from using gel food coloring as it has a much stronger opacity than liquid food color. Its very easy to go overboard with the red color when using gel. Although in any other case, I choose to use gel when I only need a few drops to color things such as cookies or frosting.

What I Love About This Bundt Cake Recipe:

      • EASY to frost: I fill a pastry bag, fitted with a coupler , with my favorite cream cheese frosting and simply pipe the frosting along the groves of the bundt cake. You could also use a ziplock bag and cut the corner off.
      • Moist: Its not dense and dry like bundt cakes can sometimes be.
      • Dress it up or dress it down: Add added some crystal sprinkles on top, or a sprinkle of mini chocolate chips. Super easy and delicious!

Tips For Making A Perfect Cream Cheese Icing

Red Velvet & Chocolate Turtle Bundtlet

The icing on top is absolute perfection. Its creamy, silky, tangy, and the perfect pairing to the moist and rich red velvet cake. Here are a few things to keep in mind when making the glaze:

    • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temp before use. Otherwise, youll be left with a lumpy glaze that looks more like cottage cheese.
    • You can choose to mix it by hand or with an electric mixer. If mixing by hand, start out with a fork and mash the cream cheese smooth. Then mix in 1 cup of powdered sugar along with 1 tablespoon of milk. Continue to mix and mash with a fork until youve reached a thinner consistency. Then switch to a whisk to smooth out the icing.
    • The fluidity of the icing must be just right in order to get those creamy drips down the sides of the cake. Youre looking for a consistency thats just a hair thinner than craft glue. When you lift the whisk out of the bowl, it should fall back in a solid stream and then slowly disappear back into the bowl. If its too thick, add 1/2 tablespoon of milk at a time until its just right. If its too thin, do the same but with 1-2 tablespoons of powdered sugar at a time.

How To Get The Cake Out Of The Bundt Pan:

      • Shortening: Spread a very thin layer of shortening all over the pan. I use a ziplock sandwich bag, stick my hand inside of it, and use my hand to smooth the shortening all over every bump and crevice in the pan. This way I can make sure the entire pan is covered evenly, in a thin layer, and my hands stay clean.
      • Flour: Next I get a little pinch of flour and dust it over the pan. Hold the pan over the sink and tap it hard, in a circular motion, all around the edges so that the flour lightly covers the pan.
      • Add cake batter. Now youre ready to add the cake batter, and rest assured the cake will come out of the pan without sticking!
