But upon some digging, the article was found to be written by the mother-in-question’s boyfriend, and the Costco location at the center of the story confirmed no complaints had ever been received.

I was contacted for a quote on a full double layer sheet cake-to easily feed 100 people for a large retirement party. I gave a very reasonable quote and the person let me know that Sams had quoted $38!!!! WHAT??!! FOR 100 PEOPLE??!!Instead of giving in or giving the you get what you pay for line, I simply stated I couldnt believe EVEN SAMS CAN DO IT THAT CHEAP. ARGH. I really cant believe they can go that low-even if we all know their cake stinks. . I know this comes up all the time, but thanks for letting me vent. I simply told the person to feel free to contact me again when the budget allows.

She wanted a 1/2 sheet princess cake from my gallery..with a candy melt decorated, standing castle and tiarafor $20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told her that that wouldnt even cover my expenses! Geesh!!! That sounds extremely low!! I betcha thats for a ONE-LAYER cake and not a two-layer!!I just went to the Publix website and even they charge $62.00 for a full sheet cake!!
I guess they consider one bite a serving size, heh

Crunchy Granola Yogurt Bars Recipe
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups Cascadian Farm Granola Oats and Honey crushed
4 tablespoons butter melted
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
15 ounces of Annies Whole Milk Very Vanilla Yogurt
3 tablespoons chocolate chips or cocoa nips
Instructions
Heat oven to 350. Add butter to crushed Cascadian Farm Granola Oats and Honey and mix. Take half of this mixture and pat down into non greased 8 inch rectangle pan to make a granola crust. Set remainder to the side.
Melt creamy peanut butter in the microwave until smooth and pourable. For me this was twice on 30 seconds in a glass bowl.
Allow peanut butter to cool.
Remove baked granola from oven and allow to cool for about 5 minutes. Pour peanut butter over granola crust. Allow to continue cooling about 20 minutes total.
Top with Annies Very Vanilla Whole Milk Yogurt.
Add chocolate chips.
Top with remainder of Cascadian Farm Granola mixture and chill in freezer for approximately 4 hours.
Slice and serve.
If you dont plan on eating immediately slice into bars. Store bars in freezer in small size freezer bags until ready to eat.

After youve covered up all sides of the cake, you can use the remaining frosting to give your cake a nice border. You can do so by piping along the edges of the cake using your choice of a piping tip. I suggest a 1M star tip or a 6B french star tip.
The border will act as a nice frame for any writing or edible printed picture you want to put on the cake. If a bordered look isnt your cup of tea, another easy way to decorate your half sheet cake is to pipe rosettes all over it. This is a super easy way to give your homemade cake that professional look.
As with any cake, youd always want to present it on a cake board. I always recommend using a waxed, grease-resistant board to prevent your cake from sliding.
Make sure to size up a little when choosing your box and your board to prevent damaging your cake. Trust me, you do not want all that hard work you put into piping the borders and frosting to go to waste. Go for something that is around 19 x 14 x 4.
