Can You Freeze Costco Carrot Cake
Unless theres something very bizarre about a Costco cake, I dont see why it shouldnt be able to be frozen as well. For best results, cover the cake securely in cling film or aluminum foil before freezing. When it comes time to thaw the cake, if it has been iced all over, remove the covering and store it in an airtight container to allow it to defrost completely.

Then, I finally gave it a try and have never looked back. I found my initial recipe labeled as Copycat Cracker Barrel Carrot Cake. After making it a couple of times, and adding a few tweaks, I personally think this recipe is way better than anything you can get at a chain restaurant.
This Copycat Cracker Barrel Carrot Cake is so moist, flavorful, and perfectly sweet. It does require several ingredients, but is super easy to make, and well worth the effort. With pineapple, shredded coconut, and a bit of oil, you end up with a soft cake that stays fresh for days!

As August winds down, we’re getting a glimpse of all the delicious seasonal food and and drinks that await us during fall. And, guys, it’s all really good. One of the most exciting new offerings we have to look forward to is a whole mess of comforting and warm fall treats at Cracker Barrel.
The chain announced the new menu additions this week, which includes the previously mentioned Chicken Pot Pie, as well as some sweet treats. We’ll start off with my personal favorite, carrot cake. Their cake is baked with coconut, pineapple, walnuts, cinnamon, and vanilla and is topped with a spread of cream cheese icing and chopped pecans for the perfect way to end literally any meal…or to eat for breakfast…or to eat for a snack. I want it all the time.
If you’re looking for something to pair it with, the chain is also serving a Pumpkin Pie Latte made with coffee and pumpkin pie flavors and it’s topped with whipped cream, a sprinkling of pumpkin pie spice, and a vanilla thin stick. You can get this hot or iced so no need to wait until it gets cold. Finally, the chain is adding peach tea, which, yes, is not the coziest of items, but since it’s still hot as heck out, we’ll take it.

Turnips and mustards, members of the cabbage family, are cool-season crops. They must be grown in the cool temperatures of early spring and fall. Mustard is grown only for the leaves. Turnip is a dual purpose cropthe leaves are used for greens, and the root is cooked similar to potatoes and beets.

Why Do People Like To Go To Cracker Barrel
Another one of the reasons I really love the Cracker Barrel menu is because they often have seasonal favorites. They have a great knack of adding menu items like the pumpkin custard during the holidays or even their chocolate pecan pie is a holiday favorite. So you know that you can always try something new when you go to the Cracker Barrel.
Where Does Carrot Cake Come From
If you ask historians about carrot cake, they will tell you it was derived from carrot puddings that were enjoyed by Europeans in the Middle Ages. The inclusion of carrots is thought to have been a great substitute for sugar and other sweeteners that were too expensive for some or just hard to find. Today carrots are still the main ingredient in this delicious cake.

Does Vinegar Tenderize Collard Greens
How do you get the bitterness out of collard greens? Removing the thick stem parts and cooking the collards in smoked meat will remove the bitterness out of collard greens. However, some people also add a dash of vinegar to the collards. The vinegar adds additional flavor and will also cut out any bitterness.
Perfect Cream Cheese Frosting
While the cake is cooling, soften the cream cheese and butter.
Once the cake is cool, beat the cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla extract and gradually add the powdered sugar until incorporated. Adjust the mixer speed to medium-high and beat for about 2 minutes until the frosting is light and fluffy.
Evenly spread all of the frosting over the cooled cake. Top with chopped pecans if you like nuts. I dont usually enjoy nuts in my cake, so I didnt put any in it or on it this time. My extended family loves nuts, so sometimes I will top half of the cake with chopped pecans so everyone gets their perfect slice!
Serve and enjoy! This Copycat Cracker Barrel Carrot Cake can serve up to 24 people. Perfect for a big family meal, potluck, or Easter dinner!
Refrigerate any leftovers, and enjoy for up to 5 days.

We dined at the Cracker Barrel for dinner and we were served by a young lady who did the best job of waitressing we have ever dealt with. She was so attentive and the food at This Cracker Barrel was superb. We would definitely dine there again with the great food and the wonderful people who work there.
Arriving to Utah from California Cracker Barrel is always a welcome sight to see as we have none in Calif. You can count on good home-style food and good service. This one is close to several hotels if you are looking for food and a place to stay.
This CB was having staffing problems the night we arrived to eat. I assume most nights it is ok. Food was as good as you would expect from a CB. We like the Wholesome section of the menu but the choice combinations are fairly large. We got our dose of vegetables! At the table our service was not good but for the reasons noted. Drinks were wrongly served and a general haphazard display. I would give them another chance though.
Loaded Carrot Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting
This Loaded Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting is loaded with fruit, nuts, and coconut. It’s so full of flavor and texture – you’ll never be able to get enough!
Easter makes me think of Carrot Cake. Is that true for everybody? Maybe it’s the whole correlation between Easter Bunny being a rabbit and rabbits eat carrots? Yeah, okay, I’m crazy.
But I’ve been craving carrot cake for the past couple of weeks… and here’s what started it…
Several months ago, I was asked to make a from-scratch carrot cake. Specifically, the request was for a Cracker Barrel Carrot Cake.
Well, honestly guys… I don’t eat carrot cake. Or rather I should say, I didn’t eat carrot cake.
I had never made it before and when given a choice at a restaurant, church get-together, or pretty much any other event – it would be near the bottom of the list of desserts I’d choose to eat.
And this recipe? It’s got coconut . Raisins . And shredded carrots baked into a cake… who wants a shredded vegetable in their cake? Not I.
Until this. With a quick Swagbucks search, I found several “copycat” recipes, so I picked the one from Food.com and gave it a try.

How To Shred Carrots For A Cake
Carrots add moisture to cakes and also infuse them with added nutrients. Carrots can be shredded with a grater or in a food processor. If you are using a hand grater, pick thick carrots that have skin that is free of cracks. The thicker the carrots, the easier they will be to shred. You can shred the carrots and refrigerate them until needed.
- Should I peel carrots for carrot cake? Yes, the finer you grate the carrots, the more evenly they will be distributed throughout the cake for a perfect texture, and the more evenly the cake will bake. Its easier to grate the carrots finely if you peel them first.
This carrot cake also has crushed pineapples, shredded coconut, and raisins . It may be ingredient intensive but the results are worth it.
Cracker Barrel Chocolate Pecan Pie
Pecan pie is a pretty perfect slice. Sweet, crunchy, sticky, and relatively easy to make. That being said, is anything ruined by adding chocolate?
This recipe will give you an amazing pecan pie, but if you have one you love, then stick with it.
All youll have to do is add in some semi-sweet chocolate chips!
Chicken and dumplings might just be the quintessential dish of the south.
Dumplings are very different in the UK and are well worth trying out, too.
The biscuit-like crust is to die for and would pair so well with the creamy chicken in this recipe.
But if you want the classic dish, it doesnt get much better than Cracker Barrel.
