This is the number one question I get about this recipe. Baking emulsions actually come in a variety of flavors! And I use them all the time.
A Baking Emulsion is a thick, water based, flavor enhancer. Similar to extracts except extracts are made with a base of alcohol. Normal extracts tend to be weaker as the flavor bakes out with the alcohol. Bakery emulsions have a stronger flavor so you can use less and because they are thicker they dont water down recipes so they are great for frostings.

How To Tell When My Cake Is Done Baking
Every oven is different, and what works perfectly for me might not be the case for you. Have no fear, toothpicks are here! Use a clean toothpick and poke as deep as you can into the thickest part of the cake. If it comes out clean, then your cake is all done. If theres some batter stuck to it, add 5-10 extra minutes until the cake is fully baked.

I like this rich flavorful frosting more than something thats super sugary and sweet, I dont think buttercream would be the best option for this cake.
How To Make Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake
First, youll need to beat together the butter and the sugar for several minutes until light and fluffy. Do not skip this step this is what ensures that the cake turns out soft. Add the eggs to the mixture one at a time, followed by the remaining wet ingredients.
Stir the sour cream and dry ingredients into the butter mixture, alternating between the two so that everything is incorporated evenly. Turn the batter into a 10-cup bundt pan thats been greased and floured.
Bake the lemon poppy seed cake until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Once the cake has cooled completely, top with lemon glaze.

Orange Cranberry Glazed Poppy Seed Bread
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, poppy seeds, baking powder and salt. In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, oil, orange zest and vanilla. Add the liquid mixture to the flour mixture and stir until smooth.
While the bread is baking, make the glaze. Combine sugar, orange juice, vanilla, almond and butter extracts in a small bowl and stir until sugar is combined. Once bread is finished, remove from oven and let cool. Once cooled, remove from pan and set on a wire rack. Using a brush, spread glaze evenly over the top of the bread.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 8 x 4 -inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper. Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, MIX butter and sugar for about 1 minute then add eggs and mix for 5-minutes until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract, oil and yogurt and mix until just combined.

I know a lot of pound cake recipes start with softened butter, but youll notice mine starts with melted butter. This ensures that I dont have to use a mixer of any kind. That, to me, is priceless. All this cake needs is a bowl and a wooden spoon. I used to want to use my stand mixer all the time and hardly ever used a hand mixer. Now that I make video, I hate using the stand mixers because they look annoying on cameraand I even dislike using the hand mixer.

Poppy Seed Bread With Glaze Recipe
Directions. Make the cake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9-inch round cake pan with cooking spray, line bottom with parchment, and spray parchment. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat together butter, sugar, and zests with a mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Cream together butter and sugar add eggs. Add remaining liquid ingredients and mix. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and poppy seeds add to the liquid mixture and mix until just combined. Pour batter into two 9×5 inch loaf pans filling full . Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes.
Directions. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease loaf pan with 1 tablespoon butter. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and poppy seeds. In a large bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed or in a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat together remaining cup of butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes.
