I have never, I repeat NEVER had a better gluten free cake in my life–and I’m pretty dedicated to the search for the best! I ordered a 6″ gluten free cake for my birthday celebration, figuring that nobody else needed their dessert to be gluten free and they would all opt for the other dessert offered at the dinner party. That was my first mistake–should’ve gotten the bigger size! The cake was beautiful and everyone just had to try a piece. It was moist, and to my delight had neither the grainy texture of so many gluten free items nor did it have the textbook bad aftertaste of gluten free products. The ganache was perfect and the coconut pecan filling was TO. DIE. FOR. Everyone proclaimed that they wouldn’t have even known it was gluten free if I hadn’t told them. If you’re shopping around for a memorable dessert, I highly recommend the GermanChocolatecake. I’m not sure I’ll be able to have a birthday or a party or a Saturday without one! I can’t wait to try all the other amazing offerings that this little gem of a bakery has to offer.
