What other way to celebrate finding out thegender of your baby than with a beautiful gender reveal party! Our last client wanted to share this amazing moment with their friends and family but needed our help in pulling it off. Of course we were excited to help and came up with this gorgeous idea to make sure that nothing was given away too early and the guests were kept guessing throughout the party! The theme was centred around the quote: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder What You Are.. with glittering stars incorporated into every element.

To keep the guests guessing, there were equal amounts of pink and blue decorations including confectionery, drinks and balloons.

The only neutral element was the cake and cupcakes as it was how our clients wanted to announce the gender of their baby!

We filled the middle of the cake with the clients favourite sweets: bonbons, of one colour so that when they cut it open, the sweets would pour out and reveal the gender!

Also, the cupcakes had coloured hearts in the centre so that when you bit into them, the gender would be revealed!

As with everything we do from baby showers and gender reveals, to proposals and romantic dates, we make everything hand-made so that everything is personal to you and exactly how you imagine it to be.

For a fun and unique theme for a gender reveal, this Twinkle Twinkle Little Star shower was a brilliant idea. Delia Patente of One Sweet Event helped out with this event, even providing the delicious treats that made this party stand out from the rest.

Using blue and gold for theme colors, this party was able to reflect a starry night beautifully. The range of treats was remarkably well-displayed, offering everyone a chance to join in on the magic of this special celebration of new life.

There were chocolate covered strawberries, immaculate with detailing. They had the sweet layer of chocolate for the base, to represent a night sky, then a layer of white lines was spread across perfectly. As a final touch, little white and yellow stars were put on top, creating a theme matching beauty.

Cake pops were also made as a yummy option for visitors to try out and they looked fabulous. Covered in blue, they were the image of a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star shower for sure. They had a splattering of lovely yellow and gold stars that stood out gorgeously. With blue and white swirly straws, these treats offered a mess-free way to enjoy delicious sweetness.

What an out of this world idea to introduce the gender of your baby! These starry night treats were inspired by the childrens poem twinkle twinkle little star. From chocolate covered strawberries with shooting stars to cake pops with stars & outer space specks. Inside the cake was red velvet with blue cream cheese frosting for the big reveal. The outside of the cake was full of sparkling stars and midnight clouds, and we cant forget about the most adorable little teddy bear sitting next to a shimmery moon on the top of the cake.

If you plan to bake the cake yourself, the easiest and most common methods to create the reveal, are to:

create a layer of pink or blue frosting, separating the cake layers or
one of the cake layers can be colored pink or blue or

I know its a little late, but after getting lots of requests on my instagram, as promised, Im finally sharing all the details from our gender reveal party earlier this spring. If you follow me on instagram or have read any of my pregnancy posts on the blog, then you already know whether our first baby is a he or a she, but just in case theres any newcomers here, Ill keep it a surprise until the end of this post. Cole and I decided to go with a gender neutral, twinkle twinkle little stars theme for our gender party, and for the big reveal, we decided to put together a DIY box .

We knew we didnt want to spend a whole lot on our twinkle twinkle little star gender reveal party. I found most of the decor we used for our gender reveal party from Amazon, and all for awesome prices. For the rest of it, I pretty much used what we had in our home, and even from our wedding and did a lot of DIY like the Boy or Girl sign you see above . So many amazing cake designs can be created with icing. This next cake features blue and pink buttercream rose icing. The roses look elegant and beautiful on the cake. You can have roses like these created in any color. If you love to bake you could even have a go at making a similar cake yourself.

How I Wonder What You Are Decorations

Colored balloons and streamers in blues and pinks with gold or silver would be your basic decoration for this fun theme! Depending on how you are revealing the babys gender, you may want to check out this large balloon labeled How I Wonder What You Are?!

Some other decorations you can use to reveal are filling a box with pink or blue balloons to open and let float out for guests to see, or you can even fill balloons with pink or blue glitter stars to pop for a reveal. You can also incorporate a piñata as an activity and fill it with gender specific colored/labeled candies!

A large backdrop with congratulations to the parents-to-be along with color blocks dedicated to the message that says Is it a Boy or a Girl! is a fun way to keep the suspense. Incorporating sweet, dim lighting with glowing stars in white and in gender specific colors is also a cute idea, as the whole core of the theme is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

You cannot have enough star decorations! Baby blue tablecloths with sheer, star covered runners and vases full of beautiful pale-hued peonies is a wonderful way to bring ambience and delicious scent to the party, too!

Diaper cake might be something else that you may want to have at the party, it makes a great gift for the parents-to-be after the shower with plenty of diapers within them!
