Theres nothing sweeter than welcoming a new baby into the familyand this past weekend we got to celebrate with a gender reveal party for my sister! The theme of the gender reveal party was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, How We Wonder What You Are and it was so darn cute. Just about everything we ordered was from Amazon, and everything shipped prime. Keep reading for all the details on our Twinkle Twinkle Little Star gender reveal party!

Cute He Or She Gender Reveal Cake

Our next cake idea is super cute. The single tier cake features blue and pink polka dots with adorable baby shoe decorations. You can take inspiration from this cake and recreate something similar or you could add more tiers or try a different shoe design. This is the great cake idea for any gender reveal party.

If you plan to bake the cake yourself, the easiest and most common methods to create the reveal, are to:

  • create a layer of pink or blue frosting, separating the cake layers or
  • one of the cake layers can be colored pink or blue or
  • the baker cuts a hole into the center of the cake and fills it with either pink or blue candy.

The phrase is really long, so you will want to have enough cake to display it on.

Because of the nursery rhyme theme, you will want to stick to pastel colors. Have an equal mix of all the pastels so that you dont throw off your audience into thinking that the gender is one specific one. What an out of this world idea to introduce the gender of your baby! These starry night treats were inspired by the childrens poem twinkle twinkle little star. From chocolate covered strawberries with shooting stars to cake pops with stars & outer space specks. Inside the cake was red velvet with blue cream cheese frosting for the big reveal. The outside of the cake was full of sparkling stars and midnight clouds, and we cant forget about the most adorable little teddy bear sitting next to a shimmery moon on the top of the cake.

From the decorations to the DIY gender reveal confetti box and the full video of the reveal, heres the details on our twinkle twinkle little star gender reveal party. This is the day we found out whether our first babys gender would be a girl or a boy.

I know its a little late, but after getting lots of requests on my instagram, as promised, Im finally sharing all the details from our gender reveal party earlier this spring. If you follow me on instagram or have read any of my pregnancy posts on the blog, then you already know whether our first baby is a he or a she, but just in case theres any newcomers here, Ill keep it a surprise until the end of this post. Cole and I decided to go with a gender neutral, twinkle twinkle little stars theme for our gender party, and for the big reveal, we decided to put together a DIY box .

We knew we didnt want to spend a whole lot on our twinkle twinkle little star gender reveal party. I found most of the decor we used for our gender reveal party from Amazon, and all for awesome prices. For the rest of it, I pretty much used what we had in our home, and even from our wedding and did a lot of DIY like the Boy or Girl sign you see above . For an elegant, upscale gender reveal baby party, you will need an equally elegant and upscale gender reveal cake. This beautiful cake is perfect for any baby bash. To pull this sleek look off, you will want to stick to a pastel color scheme. For the cherry on top, top your cake with some real roses and delicious macaroons and you are good to go! Here is a pro tip: To add some charm to your gender reveal party, consider decorating your venue with some unisex baby clothes.

You can also incorporate a piñata as an activity and fill it with gender specific colored/labeled candies!

A large backdrop with congratulations to the parents-to-be along with color blocks dedicated to the message that says Is it a Boy or a Girl! is a fun way to keep the suspense.
